My Story
Background & Credentials
I was born on Oʻahu and raised on the windward side of the island, where I developed a strong sense of community and connection early in life. I’ve been working in nursing since 2012 and have clinical experience across diverse settings, including acute medical hospitals, inpatient psychiatry, community mental health clinics, and outpatient private practice.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatry from Eastern Kentucky University, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hawaiʻi Pacific University. I’m also certified as a health coach through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
My passion for mental health care grew from a lifelong interest in psychology, personal growth, and the challenges I’ve overcome in my own life. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help — and I deeply respect every patient who takes that step.
My Approach to Care
I offer a wide range of psychiatric services for clients age 12 and up, including:
• Psychiatric evaluation & diagnosis
• Medication management
• Psychotherapy
• Behavioral modification
• Health & lifestyle coaching
• Genetic testing for medication selection
My approach is collaborative — I don’t just tell you what to do. I work with you to create a treatment plan that reflects your goals, values, and comfort level. When appropriate, I also address lifestyle factors such as sleep, movement, stress, and nutrition as part of a holistic care plan.
Patients often describe me as thorough, kind, patient, and easy to talk to. They appreciate my responsiveness and the time I take to explain options and empower them with knowledge.
A Small Practice with a Personal Touch
Thrive Psychiatry Hawaii is intentionally small and part-time, allowing me to offer highly responsive, individualized care. I maintain a limited caseload so I can really get to know each client and provide prompt support when it matters most.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, I enjoy journaling, running, cycling, lifting weights, and spending time at the beach with my partner and our Brussels Griffon. I also love discovering new restaurants and exploring new places when I travel.
I’m guided by the values of compassion, kindness, empathy, and excellence — both personally and professionally.
Let’s Get Started
If you’re ready to take the next step toward improving your mental health, I’d be honored to support you.
